Nora Sachs is a competitor in the Midwest Combat Chess League, and current reiging King of The Legion.

History[]

2009[]

Nora was drafted to the Legion as a knight, and achieved modest success in that position.  She won a key bout in the chamionship bout against Roses player Jason Snetting, whom she trapped in a triangle choke.

2010[]

Nora was one of the few players who stayed with the team throughout its disastrous 2010 season, gaining much recognition and performing well despite her team's setbacks.

2011[]

A training injury to her knee early in the season sidelined Nora for the remainder of the 2011 season, and she was unable to rejoin her teammates for their victory in the 2011 championship.

2012[]

Upon stepping down as Legion King, Mike Lubke nominated Nora to succeed him in the position.  Lubke had noticed her leadership abilities while she attended training sessions during her time on the disabled list in the 2011 season.

2013[]

Nora is expected to make her return to the role of King for the Legion for the 2013 season.
