History[]
Pre-MCCL[]
Marchand was one of the standout players from the Unified Combat Chess Conference, having Kinged 3 Championship teams (The Black Guard in 2001, and the Blue Bloods in 2004 & 2006.)
Joined the MCCL when the Unified Combat Chess Conference and Combat Chess Championship Association merged.
2007[]
Marchand was invited to join The Corsairs during the leagues inaugural season. The team as a whole struggled throughout the whole season, ending with a disappointing 2-5 record, Marchand however had a standout season. After winning and then loosing fights in the teams Week 1 loss to The Culverins, he was undefeated in the next 15 contests on the board. A record that still stands to this day.
Frustrated by constant personality conflicts with King Peter Sumner and the generally apathetic attitude of the rest of the 2007 Corsair team, Marchand opted to retire following the conclusion of the 2007 Season.
2016[]
In the months leading up to the 2016 Season, after hearing that the MCCL reached out to Marchand to gauge his interrest in returing to the Leage for the 2016 All-Star Game, The Corsairs offered him a position on team as both a Fighter, Fighting Coach, and Chess Coach to King Mark Penzien.
