Brandon Ewald is a competitor in the Midwest Combat Chess League, currently signed to The Banshees
Joined the Midwest Combat Chess League, drafted by The Roses. Ewald's rookie season was of little note due to being the team's Queen Rook Pawn, performing well in the few fights he saw, but nothing that made him stand out from the team's existing roster.
Ewald was again drafted by The Roses again for the 2013 season, and performed similarly to 2012.
Ewald was again drafted by The Roses again for the 2014 season. For 2014, King Nathaniel Nesheim-Case moved Ewald to Queen Bishop Pawn. As a result of this moved, Ewald saw increased action on the board and earned a repuation for being an incredibly dependable fighter. However, may times through the season Nesheim-Case would overrule Ewald on vague or strange weapon calls.
New King Steve Looten was impressed with Ewald's 2014 performance and drafted him to The Banshees in the early rounds of the 2015 draft. Where previously Ewald had been actively discouraged from making odd weapon calls, he now found himself encouraged to make interresting weapon choices.
